Singer/Songwriter & Other Stuff

I'm just a bloke, an ordinary guy with an ordinary life. I make no pretence of fame or fortune. I make no promises of wisdom or insight. I have more questions than answers. I am who I am, and that's ok!

I'm  married to a beautiful girl I met back in school. We have two beautiful daughters. Like many others, we've struggled through life's difficult times; cancer, depression, grief and just plain old surviving day to day. It's not easy sometimes, but It's worthwhile. We are a team and we are close. I love my family!

I'm a singer-songwriter and occasional poet based in Melbourne, Australia. I love to write. I've been writing and performing most of my life. I first picked up a guitar when I was 14, the piano when I was 15 and started singing and songwriting when I was 16. I still remember that first song - oh dear! My great love is songwriting, and that's primarily how I see myself. I love writing, I love music!

I own and run a creative agency, Essendon Creative, in the North Western suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. We've been kicking around for a few years now years now, since August 1999. I love my work!

I'm an optimist. Like everyone I have my ups and downs. I've had the upper hand; I've been on the ropes; I've been on the canvas. The view may change depending on where you are, but there's still a view. I love life!

This blog exists for the single purpose of giving me a place to write stuff. That stuff could be anything. I'm making this up as I go. It is after all a blog; the log of my journey. Largely though it will probably be songs, poetry, and stuff. I'm sure I'll throw in the odd observation for good measure. So, read it if you will, take from it what you can, but don't look to me for a warranty!
